Is my MIT obsession worth spending 80K on MS SDM after having a Ph.D in CS?
MBA would be better. Down the line you could even lecture for MIT if you are sufficiently successful in your field. More on reddit.com

MIT MBA/MS, MIT SDM, or just OMSCS? Whats the best way into Product/Tech Management?
It sounds like you're sure you want to do Product/Tech Management. As a OMSCS alum, I'd take MIT if I were you. I'd also probably opt for MIT LGO over MIT SDM, but this is entirely dependent on your circumstances and current position as well. (MBA + CS MS) > SDM (I'm personally not a fan of these degree majors, they're not always clear as to what they want to be). Everyone in the industry know exactly what sort of weight MIT's MBA and MS in CS carry, this may not be as evident with SDM. You're giving up 2 years industry experience, but I think it's worth it in the long run for 2 concrete competitive programs in one. Congratulations! That's pretty great and it sounds like you're making strong strides. More on reddit.com
