So I own a 15 pro max and I already went through 2 cases the first discolored and the second is like silicon similar to the original and it’s getting damaged and peeling off, the only way Id be comfortable spending $60 on a case is if Im confident it will last 4-5 years, but I have seen worrisome feedback on this subreddit
I just switched to a new iPhone and I’m thinking of good cases/screen guards to get. The most popular one is mous, but it’s either the reviews are very good or really bad. Are their cases worth it? And if not, which other brand can you guys recommend?

I'm looking for a case for my new phone.. first time going iphone since the 4th one.. anyway I tried spigen but the overall case feels cheap.. no grip, the carbon fiber pattern on the back just seems to be printed on.. I've seen thousands of ads from Mous by this point it's kind of hard NOT to see them, so I went to their site and seen they ask for quiet a high price.. but on their reddit they have a lot of QC issues it seems like?
Is it worth the price over any other case?
Hello, I have purchased a Mous case maybe a year ago in the hopes of it protecting my phone in most cases scenario. I haven’t had a single scratch or any problems with the iPhone, which is the iPhone 13 Pro Max, for nearly two years in hopes of getting the high trade-in value. Unfortunately, a couple of days ago, the phone fell from a distance of maybe 6 feet onto concrete and suffered damage to its back and damage to its insides. The fall occurred from an elevated area onto a lower area, again around 6 feet of distance, if that makes sense. The impact point seems to be on the top right of the camera bump, with the damage spreading around the phone and even to my screen protector on the front (the screen under the screen protector seems to be without a scratch). I included images of course.
The day it occurred I thought I was in the clear after realizing my phone was shattered, as the screen worked and the phone did everything it had before, but albeit the next morning the iPhone refuses to wake up, turn on, or charge. The dreadful iTunes restore is the only thing populating the screen when trying to turn it on (only while connected to a power source, not on battery) and when trying to restore the phone with my MacBook it shuts off in the middle of installation. I am not an expert but the damage seemed to get to the motherboard, and the phone is stuck in a boot loop now? I am not sure but the boot loop is the only thing I am facing with the current state the phone is in.
The point of this post is not to discourage of purchasing this case, or to delegitimaze the companies claims as I think I will be purchasing from Mous again for my new iPhone, but to inform that even though the commercial might show extreme drop tests or “F1 car vs Mous case”, unfortunate cases do happen and your phone has a chance of breaking. I have had great luck with this company before, and own a great Mous case and screen protector for my iPad Air 5, which I am beyond happy with. The customer support is also splendid as I had a new case sent to me when my leather case started peeling on the back after a couple of months of daily use (I also included some pictures if there is interest).
Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to provide detail.
I just got an iPhone 12 Pro and am looking to buy a leather case. My main concern is protection and design. I have Mous limitless on my old (iPhone 8) and I'm satisfied with the overall case quality.
Still, I kinda don't like the design of Mous for iPhone 12 pro so I've found Nomad rugged leather cases but except of slightly better appearance I couldn't find relevant reviews regarding protection of their cases.
Don't know whether to trust nomad or stick with mous?
Anyone with first sight info?
