I'm very happy to announce that our new retro inspired spherical profile launches today! This is something we have been working on for well over a year now. During our initial planning and design phase we really wanted a spherical profile that was closer in height to our current Cherry profile caps than other offerings on the market. We had gotten to the stage where we were already reviewing 3D printed prototypes of the designs when it was brought to our attention that Matt3o was also working on a similar design. Instead of continuing to peruse the new profile on our own we decided to reach out to Matt3o, and we began working together with him last year to bring this new profile to life. I'll post some links in the comments to Matt3o's blog if you'd like to read more about the development of the profile!
The physical design of the keycaps was only the first hurdle to climb. The material for the caps was the next big challenge. We tried a variety of blends (PBT and ABS), with blends offering unique advantages and compromises, but found a good PBT material during the process. I know that I've personally been asked many times about GMK doing PBT within the community, and I'm very pleased that MTNU will be the first fully PBT profile that we have.
I'm very excited about this profile - as retro profiles are part of what got me heavily involved in this community initially back around 2013/2014. MTNU Profile will also be available for all designers to use as soon as this initial group buy ends in June. I wanted to personally make a post about the launch so I could try to answer any questions folks may have at this point! I'll do my best to get to answering as many questions as possible that you may have!
Here's a profile comparison to show how it stacks up to other common profiles:
I'll link the places you can preorder the new sets in the comments below!
I'll be checking comments and answering questions throughout the day!

GMK MTNU Modo arrived today after 4 months waiting for production to finish.
The MTNU profile feels very nice. I have to see how easy typing is, compared to standard profiles. Gorgeous, but pretty expensive at 196 € for the caps alone.
Board: Ducky One 3 Hot-Swap Barebone (ISO Layout)
Keycaps GMK MTNU Modo (PBT)
Switches: DUROCK T1 Shrimp Silent Tactile Switch (67 g)
PC OS: Arch Linux (KDE Plasma)
I already posted this board here some time ago, but with some temporary Amazon keycaps.
Hey guys, first time poster, long time reader.
I've gotten myself Akko M1W (barebones) after seeing people recommending it here, as I needed a wireless keyboard, and I fo like it.
For the keycaps, I first wanted a cyberpunk-ish theme I had with mt3 cyber keycaps, so I went with the JTK HSA hyperfuse keycap set. Totally didn't go well with the black akko. Also, the legends are a big mess. This is actually the first set where I've started noticing legends. Usually it didn't bother me that much. For a ~100$ I can't really recommend them, although the shape is solid, and the plastic itself is pretty good.
And so I went for a different set - MTNU beige (with orange accents) by GMK, and it's so much better quality than JTK. The interesting thing is, I didn't expect them to look so good on a black board but they do. The shape I like very much, but I'm not sure wheter I prefer it over mt3 (or the sound profile).
However, because of such a bad experience with JTK, I had to go looking into the legends details, and now I'm noticing quite a few issues (even though none of them are even close to JTK). Some of the things I've noticed: Horizontal alignment - F5 is the worst of these. Legend thickness - look at SUPER and how thicker ER are. E seems to be the problem, as ESC also has thicker E. 4 in F4 is a bit of a mess. PG UP is thinner than PG DN.
I'm sharing the photos so you guys can judge whether it bothers you or not, if you're thinking about buying these.
I thought that GMK is supposed to be king of double shots. I guess either molds haven't been perfected for each key, or PBT really is problematic, or I'm starting to think that double shot can never be as precise as dye-sub.
Anyway, I still like the set, alphas are almost perfect, so I guess they must've focused on that.

What I always enjoyed about the MT3 keycaps was that they were high quality, readily available yet cheap. GMK is really only one of those thing, and sometimes not even that. Sometimes I even felt that MT3 was antithetical to GMK sets so I'm not sure how to feel about this.
Matt3o says he will keep on top of them to make sure the production is good, but I don't know how he can promise quick product since GMK already has a cherry production line going, preventing people from getting a QQERTY layout set. But you only realize it's QQERTY after you rearrange all the pieces since they've sloshed around in the box.
Hopefully everything works out for him, but I still find the drop mt3 more compelling as a purchase then the mtnu right now.
Keychron Q3 and MTNU Susu keycaps. The old one (white) are Keychron Cherry BoW.
Super stoked on this new keycap profile. It’s exactly what I was looking for!
Keychron Q5 Pro MTNU WoB
Neo60cu Teal HHKB, Copper/Copper bottom
MTNU WoB KeyCaps with yellow accents
WS Brown tactils switches
Foamless
Finally an MTNU set that I'm way into but of all the keycaps to leave out they can't work in a stepped CTRL. UGH
Placing order soon, just take my money
Keychron Q8 with GMK MTNU WoB
Title.
Personally I enjoy level keycaps, such as MOA/KOA/XDA. Perhaps that is because of the years typing on laptop keyboards.
In addition I really enjoy the cupping feeling of MOA/KOA keycaps.
I do, however, miss a set of MOA/KOA keycaps, that are translucent RGB builds.
My current RGB build is a Yunzii AL66 with Durock Ice Kings and Glorious Polychroma v2 - I really enjoy that board, even though the keycaps are cherry profile
Love the look and feel of this build. Can't wait to see more designers pick up the profile. MTNU Lux would be a dream come true.
NEO65 white, Modern Dolch Light, and Obscura switches
Just received the brand new Susu keycaps. They look perfect on my Keychron Q1 Pro
