The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will be closed on the following holidays in 2026: New Year’s Day on Thursday, January 1 ; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 19 ; Washington’s Birthday on Monday, February 16 ; Good Friday on Friday, April 3 ; Memorial Day on Monday, May 25 ; Juneteenth National Independence Day on Friday, June 19 ; Independence Day (observed) on Friday, July 3 ; Labor Day on Monday, September 7 ; Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 26 ; and Christmas Day on Friday, December 25.
The NYSE will also close early on certain days: Christmas Eve on Thursday, December 24, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time ; the day after Thanksgiving, Friday, November 27, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time ; and the day before Independence Day, Thursday, July 2, is not a holiday, but the market closes early on July 3 due to the observed holiday. The market will operate normally on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2025, closing at its regular time and reopening on Friday, January 2, 2026.
