I just recently upgraded my CPU to a 5800X3D. My cooler setup is a pretty standard fan setup and a 240 Cooler Master AIO. I've been having normal temps so far (Idle around 50°, Gaming up until 70°) and I decided to do some stability testing to make sure everything's fine.
OCCT Large/Extreme completed with no errors and a maximum temperature of 69° after 1h. As soon as I start a test on the small dataset with the the same settings, I cross the 90° thermal limit I put in my settings, apparently up to 93°.
Is this to be expected? I know the thermal limit for the 5800X3D is supposed to be around 90°, but these temps seem a bit too crazy for my taste. Any anecdotal evidence or help you guys might have?
I have been running some stress tests and benchmarks in 3DMarks and there my cpu temp slowly climbs as the test goes on. And I have only ever got it to peak out at about 70 celcius even with their most performance heavy stress test for 20 minutes. However when I tested the CPU test in OCCT the temperature goes from about 40 celcius to about 80 in 2-3 seconds as soon as I start the test? How come and should it do this?
Voici ma configuration :
Processeur : i9-14900K (+ soyez silencieux ! Silent Loop 2 360 mm)
MOBO : Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7
RAM : Corsair Vengeance DDR5 2x32 Go, 6 800 MHz, CL32 (CMK64GX5M2X6800C32) XMP activé (6 600 MHz)
GPU : Gigaoctet 2070 Super
PSU : taisez-vous ! DARK PUISSANCE PRO 13 1600W

Quels devraient être les scores du processeur non overcolocké au test OCCT ?
Voici mes scores :
00:00:10 - Info - CPU - 1 threads, SSE : 63.36 (3ème à partir de la fin)
00:00:20 - Info - CPU - 32 threads, SSE : 736,29 (5ème ETP)
00:00:31 - Info - CPU - 1 threads, AVX : 65,57 (3ème ETP)
00:00:42 - Info - CPU - 32 threads, AVX : 760,28 (5ème ETP)
Hi all,
Just built a new pc with a i9 9900k and corsair h150 pro. I'm seeing idle temps in the mid 30s, and 85-95 in occt @ 5ghz @ 1.310v. However its not quite stable at this voltage. If I move to 1.315 the temps seem to sky rocket almost immediately after I start testing. Its really weird how it sky rockets so fast based on a .05 increase. Any thoughts?
I've been running prime95 small all cores for the past 17 hours without any issues or errors on that end, while running OCCT only to monitor temperatures and clock speeds. Woke up just now to see OCCT report a max CPU die (average) temperature of 122C. Is this even possible?? Or is this a monitoring issue with OCCT's software? OCCT has been monitoring since I started running P95 and I haven't used the PC for anything else during the test. Does anyone have similar experiences with OCCT reporting crazy high temps like this?
For reference here's my build and oc:
-
CPU: 9800x3d
-
Motherboard: MSI x870e Carbon Wifi
-
Ram: 2x48 Corsair Dominator DDR5 6600mhz CL32
-
Cooler: Tryx Panorama 360mm AIO, using Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut paste
For the oc, I did:
PBO motherboard limits, 10x scalar, +200 boost clock, -15 all core curve optimizer, infinity fabric frequency and dividers set to 2200mhz, UCLK div1 mode set to UCLK=MEMCLK, and my ram set to the tightest timings for 6400mhz (200mhz lower than rated otherwise PC wouldn't boot)
Help - Guys are these temps acceptable? OCCT 1 Hour Extreme/Variable CPU Test.
Everything's stock. But PBO is on. I have a cheap AIGO Cooler, no AIO.
