Can someone please help to read a option chain

You will profit if nifty closes above 22368.2 on 25 april. The option will go to 0 if nifty closes below 22300.

One unsolicited tip: please do not trade options until you have mastered the basics.

Wanted to clear a doubt regarding Option Chain

It doesn't make sense. I used to use this. You know what happens? One move and entire open interest shifts.

Plus open interest is delayed data. By the time you get your confirmation, the movement has already begun.

Nothing but "0" under the Volume column in Option chain... any option, any stock...?
Volume will only be non Zero during trading , 9-4pm Weekdays. Not a great column , you might want to add Open Interest which is the number of contracts at that strike. I think it is great you are looking at the option chain, since that is what traders do, as opposed to Reddit users who buy or sell options on a hunch (I think they have gas). Using Delta's is a good start. Here is web view, as far as Active Trader goes , would not touch it with a 10 foot pole. https://app.screencast.com/wSFJl5XD5TWhT More on reddit.com

January 6, 2025 - These weekly expirations are marked with a "W" when selecting an option chain to look at. On the other hand, options for indexes and their corresponding ETFs can expire throughout the week. Options marked "AM" expire in the morning at the market's opening price. There are a handful of major variables that are crucial to review if you want to analyze a potential call options trade. If you want to purchase a call option, you need to take a look at the strike price. For example, if call options on ABC stock have a strike price of $40, the underlying asset will need to rise above that level within the predetermined time frame for you to sell the contract at a profit.
