So with Memorial Day sales starting to roll in, I’m thinking about getting a patio furniture set.. mostly just a dinner table with chairs. I guess I’m curious as to how many people have bought a patio set from Costco compared to a place like Home Depot.
There literally isn’t a set from Costco under $1200 but Home Depot’s sets are mostly all under $1000, many around $600.. so is this one of those situations where you pay for what you get and the HD sets only last a few years while Costco’s last for 10+ years?
I’m heavily leaning towards the HD sets but if I have to buy new chairs after three years because the fabric wore out, while the Costco set can take a beating then ultimately the Costco premium is worth getting. But on the inverse am I just paying a premium price because the Costco ones have a more fancy vibe but ultimately aren’t worth the price tag? My patio is far from fancy so the aesthetic isn’t the dealbreaker, more just function and quality for the price.
And with that, happy start to summer fellow Costco fam! Stay cool, stay hydrated out there… and for the love of god put your cart in the cart returns!!
I am looking for a sectional for our covered deck that can seat 5 people. I would love sunbrella covered cushions and a frame that will hold up for several years. I can't find much under $2,000, and most are $3,000k+.
I could purchase something much cheaper from Wayfair, Target or Home Depot, which look to have decent sectionals with "weather resistant" fabric on the cushions. I could easily spend less than $1,000 but wondering if this will be a huge regret after it faces the elements. Our deck is covered, but the furniture will still get sun and rain. I will purchase a cover for the sectional for winter and try to put it on when bad weather is expected, but I won't do it every night. Thoughts?
