Is there a way to take in account how much watts my pc consumes in a month and store them in a log file or a excell that i can look into? I am on windows 10/11, i know a software called hw monitor that displays a rough amount of instant power consumption but i don't know if i can store it in files automatically. Would be quite useful as i have 5 pc running 24/7 and i wanted to start taking in account how much electricity they consume, even if it is a rough estimate, without using external wattmeters.

there isn't. you can check cpu power and gpu power, but that isn't the whole system power or even the whole graphics card power for example. to get the most accurate easy to get system power, so the total power from all the applications you are running, you need a power meter. a power meter will tell you the power , that you pull from the wall, BUT that is NOT the power, that the system is consumer, but rather the power, that the powersupply is using. you then need to multiply that number with efficiency of powersupply at the load and THEN you get the best estimate of your powerconsumption. example to follow: 750 watt psu, computer running prime 95 + furmark = 500 watt from the wall. psu has 92% efficiency at 400-600 watts. so 500 *0.92 = 460 watts. so 460 watt usage of the system and 500 watt from the wall (psu wattage used) the powermeter i got was i think like 20 euros and is good enough.
