Anybody have piglet in bed linen sheets? I’m tired of buying bed sheets all the time so I’ve been doing some research and on the surface linen sheets seem like the way to go, and Piglet in bed seems really high quality. Has anyone had them for an extended period of time and can speak to their durability/ quality? I found some older posts on the sub about it but sort of inconclusive about the actual brand. Thanks!

FWIW Redland cotton have been my longest lasting (and confidentially most comfortable) sheets I’ve ever owned and I’ve breezed through all the big name brands and kitschy new brands too. I have not tried Piglet in bed though to be fair.

I haven't had a linen sheet set since my grandmother's, but I thought this might help you out in your search: https://old.reddit.com/r/Bedding/comments/o7rwqn/linen_sheet_review_from_snowe_morrow_soft_goods/ Someone did a deep-dive into linen sheet sets and how they compare against one another, etc. and it's actually pretty informative. A rule of thumb on this site is to find a sheet set you're interested in, search reddit (not only r/bedding but other subs are fine, too) for the brand you're looking for to see if someone on the site mentions it negatively or positively. If you find a bunch of people chiming in on a thread about Magic Linen, for instance, then it might be a good idea to heed their warnings, honestly. This is how I found out that silk duvet inserts were the best option for what I was looking for (as a hot sleeper and one with allergies) as many users in different subs had mostly good things to say about silk inserts, but lots and lots of bad things about fill materials like wool or down. Hope the guide helps! I really wish the mods would sticky guides on this sub since it would make it much, much easier for users to find answers to questions like yours quickly :( More on reddit.com

October 9, 2022Linen sheet comparison: Rough Linen vs Piglet
The rough linen comforter cover in forest green and the piglet top sheet in white. Initial thoughts, the piglet has thinner thread/tighter weave and is softer, it seems almost “stone washed” kinda already broken in. The Rough Linen is well, rougher. You can see on the picture how thick the threads are, correspondingly it is HEAVY. As I understand it those are good indicators of long term durability. Price point is higher for the Rough linen which tracks. Right off the batt piglet is more comfortable to sleep on but as the rough linen wears in over the next couple years that’ll even out apparently leaving RL the clear winner in the bifl department. Please help me with my current adhd obsession 😅 BEDDING.
I’m upgrading for the first time in my adult life. I need a duvet cover with matching pillow cases, and a fitted sheet. I’ve got a purple hybrid 3, and I have two bumper pillows on the sides for my toddler that sleeps in my bed. For those two reasons, I lean towards a jersey sheet with a lot of stretch, BUT, I am obsessing over moving towards a percale fitted sheet, with a linen or percale duvet cover. Anyone use percale on a purple?
Reasons for wanting linen: I love the cozy undone look. I am drawn to magic linen and piglet’s aesthetic, and they’re in my current budget. However if they’re not great quality for that price point, I’d choose a simple percale cover over those. I do like the feeling of a heavier duvet/ cover, and I know linen has an airy feel.
Should I go for the linen duvet cover? Save $50-$100 and get a plain percale one somewhere? I’m just so undecided which route to go. I just want my bed to feel and look like it’s sophisticated, cozy, and has natural/healthy fibers.
Also - I’m not exactly in a BIFL budget. I know there are some $400+ linen options, maybe in a year or two.

the answer is always, always percale for sheets. i have two linen duvets and i enjoy them both, but i definitely personally go more for comfort than looks. linen definitely looks more “unkempt” while a percale duvet will look more crisp (but not be able to hide stains etc as well) i think i paid less than $200 for each of my duvets, so they’re out there!
