Our house was built in the late 70s and we have cheap plastic drawer boxes with top mount slides in the kitchen that appear to be original to the house. The drawer faces have fallen off of the boxes multiple times where the plastic has gotten brittle and cracked. I've had to reattach them using L brackets and nowthey're starting to sag. I'd like to replace them while reusing the existing faces.

Trying to determine the most economical way to do this as we plan on moving within the next 6 to 9 months. I've looked at replacement plastic drawer boxes but they all seem to be for some brand called Triangle Pacific and the guide for the mounts doesn't look like it matches what I have. The cabinets are also cheap and not divided internally so I don't have anywhere for side mounted slides.

Anyone ever tackle something similar? I'm assuming that I'm going to need to find bottom-mounted slides and just order new wooden drawer boxes but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for a house we don't plan to stay in.

These drawers are on tracks that basically float in the air, and plug into metal brace things at the back of the cabinet. This one keeps fallout out of its brace because the parts are so old and bent. But there is nothing back there to hammer a normal track into. The back is super-thin wood, and then there is like a half inch of empty space between it and the wall. So I can’t drill into it to attach anything (which is why the drawers were designed this way).

The other drawers work great. But they haven’t been used as much over the years.

Does anyone know what these parts are called? So I can search online to find replacements? I’ve been to every big box and small neighborhood hardware store, and nobody knows how to get replacement parts.
