Noise Canceling - Poly Voyager Focus 2. Not meeting expectations.
I am in the same boat. I have spoken to so many people in support. Made sure I have the newest version… it is updated…. I am just lost. I have called myself from my work phone several times and left a voicemail with something playing on my tv and it can still be heard. I am just lost. More on reddit.com

Poly Voyager Surround 80 first impressions
I can just veto what the OP said. I am using the S80 now since they were released. Having the Bose 700, Cisco BO 980 and the previous Plantronics 8200. The sound quality is nowhere near as good as the BO or Bose. Soundstage is not wide enough, nor do I find its clarity as good as the others. What I really find annoying are the sensors in the headband which need to be turned off. The quality and feel is OK, nowhere near the BO materials. Also I see a lot of finger prints on the material and it looks a bit grubby after a few days and needs a good cleaning (guilty eating popcorn at work lol). Regarding the mic pickup and background noise processing, the 8200 win this hands down, clearest beam forming headset I have had, very close to the Bose and BO. Also voices sound tinny and not as great. Outside in the wind they are almost unusable. The case for the headset is too bulky for my taste and I also preferred the soft case but is is miles better than the gigantic case that shoots with the BO. You need a suitcase for that one. Still disappointed with Poly lately. None of their new line of headsets doing it for me. The free 60 are probably the worst headset I have had for its intended use. Depending on your ears, if the stems points a little more downward, no one can hear you on VC calls. Sound is good but they do come loose frequently and when re-arranging you hit the sensitive stem and you change stuff. Never knowing what it is doing. That’s something Apple does well with their AirPod Pro units. They just work and ANC is miles better than the Free60. Anyways. Agree Focus 2 as an office headset is the one to get when looking at the Poly offering. Who knows maybe Poly will improve the units with FW updates but I doubt it. Price wise they are too much compared to other offerings which are similar priced but offer a lot more features (spatial audio, head tracking etc etc). Of course overkill for an office headset but most of us using the S80 for outside the office too. More on reddit.com
Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC First thoughts after 4 days of use
Title: Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC First Impressions Introduction: The Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC is a new addition to the Plantronics/Poly headset family, and I've been eagerly waiting for its release since it was announced in January CES. I’ll be sharing my impressions after four days of use and comparing it to other headsets I own (4300, 5200, 6200, 8200, Focus 2). Design and Comfort: The Free 60+ UC is well-made and comes with a nice case that opens and closes smoothly. One thing to note is that unlike other devices like the AirPods and Nothing Ear (1), paring this headset to a phone requires you to remove the earpieces and enable pairing either from the screen on the case or by holding down the button on the earpiece. You do not pair while the headphones are in the case The Free 60+ UC also comes with an interesting feature where the case maintains an active connection to the earpieces, allowing you to change the volume, adjust ANC settings, and even mute/unmute the headset. The earpieces are quite responsive, and when you put them on, you might hear one side powering up before the other. In terms of comfort, I found the medium earpieces to be a good fit and not overly heavy. Performance: ANC is decent, probably better than the 6200/8200 UC, but it's not as great as the AirPods Pro 2 or the Bose QCE2. I'm taking a flight in the next 24 hours, so I'll test how well it works cancelling out plane noises. The microphone background noise suppression is where I'm disappointed. While the Free 60+ UC mic quality is good when there isn't much background noise, it doesn't have extreme background noise suppression like the 5200/8200. Hence, it's probably comparable to the 6200 in noisy environments. One point to remember is to sleep the case before putting it in your pocket if you're on a call. I had the case toggling the mic to mute/unmute while I was on a call while walking. Transparency mode appears to be a hindsight addition to the Free 60+. There's no easy way to enable and disable this, and it's mixed into the ANC setting on the case. Also, transparency mode is disabled during calls for some reason. Comparison to Other Headsets: My primary motivation for getting the Free 60+ UC was to replace the 6200 UC when I travel. The 6200 UC works well with excellent battery life, usable ANC, and usable mic background noise suppression. However, I have mixed feelings about the around-the-neck wearing style. While it allows for a massive battery and is comfortable, jacket collars interfere with the mic's operation, and bag straps often get tangled with the earpieces. In comparison to other headsets, the only advantage I find the Free 60+ UC has over the AirPods Pro 2 is the longer battery life and the case BT transmitter. However, there was a missed opportunity on Poly's part to put a lanyard mount on the case, and not being able to configure the earpieces button's function. Conclusion: Overall, I'm still undecided about the Poly Voyager Free 60+ UC. While it's the most expensive Poly headset I've purchased to date, I'm not sure it's worth the price tag. It is much more compact that my 6200/8200. The ANC is decent, but not as great as other competing headsets, and the microphone background noise suppression is lacking. However, the longer battery life and case BT transmitter may make it worthwhile for some users. 19th Apr Update Took on a 6 hour flight. I had my AirPods Pro 2, Bose QCE2 and the Poly 60 with me. I think all 3 did quite well in terms of cancelling out the plane noise. The case BT transmitter feature worked really well. The ANC isn’t as strong as the Bose and the AirPods Pro but it’s more than adequate As for microphone background noise suppression, I think Poly still has a lot of firmware work to do. When in a noisy background environment, your voice starts to get muffled. AirPods Pro 2 actually sounds better. I should mention with iOS 16.4, you can actually enable Voice Isolation which does a pretty good job in suppressing background noises from entering your call. Unfortunately you still sound muffled with the Poly 60. 20th Apr update I think there needs to be some work on the ANC in handling loud noises like car doors slamming. It causes a loud pop on both earpieces 18th May - Final thoughts After ~1 month use here’s my final thoughts What’s are the highlights LCD on case makes it really easy to switch source devices Decent ANC and very usable on flights BT transmitter in case is awesome for connecting to inflight entertainment long battery life, comfortable to use for long calls Reconnection after connection drop is really fast Dongle enables excellent compatibility with UC apps What’s not that great Terrible handling of sharp, loud noises like door slamming (popping/static sound) Terrible handling of notifications when no audio playing (static prior to the notification) sidetone is not great. Hollow sounding gesture for unmute/mute is not great Mic background suppression average. Comparable to 6200. Worst than 5200/8200 What Poly can hopefully fix in firmware the popping sounds ability to enable transparency mode during calls louder more natural sounding side tone ability to use the button for muting/unmuting improved mic background noise suppression More on reddit.com
