Says save up to $900 with the dates Sep 23-28 below it…. Then says “saving begins sep 29th” right below that. On top of that, Amazon’s Prime Big Deal days is set for Oct 7-8, which doesn’t align with either of the dates provided in the email. So- when is the sale?

Because it will be, like it's been for a few years at least, a big ol' scam for most items that aren't Amazon Basics items.

As usual, the prices on most marketplace listings are going to be jacked up and then a "sale" price listed bringing it back to where it is now or maybe even a bit higher in some cases, and the typical coupons you see will magically disappear too. Some of you reading this are all too familiar with this, and some of you are probably thinking "that's conspiratorial bullshit" - I promise you it's not, it's something that online retailers get away with (especially with an open marketplace for random unvetted sellers) because they're not held to the same standards and regulations as the brick and mortar stores. This post is also coming from experience and observation and frequent disappointment with the sales.

Please, don't be bamboozled. And if you DO shop on those days, I encourage you to use a price-over-time tool like camelcamelcamel.com to see if you're getting ripped off extra hard or not.
