Any protests going on in Phoenix area tonight against Trump?
Anyone that is protesting I hope you arw also calling and emailing your congress people and putting pressure on them. Make it clear your vote for them is on the line whether you voted foe them before or not. It's easy to ignore protests, but they want to keep their job, and people that call or email they will assume are likely to actually bother voting, unlike a huge portion of this country that never bothers to. At the capital today:
To be honest, I'm pretty wary of protests these days. They are a great show of democracy but without a fixed goal, message, or speaker, I'm worried they could be a waste of time or at worst, orchestrated by a foreign government. There was real evidence at one point of both a protest and a counter-protests at the same day and location, I believe in Texas, organized by a Facebook group run by Russians. I was at the March for Our Lives in D.C. That is an example of how to do things in my opinion. It's organized well in advance, has speakers, times, and takes place on a weekend. I was also in D.C. after Trump fired Sessions. There was supposed to be a huge protest. But it was organized poorly, had no speakers, and I saw maybe 300 people there, if that. Making voices heard is good. Pace yourselves. You can get burnt-out doing these too often over every issue. But this one seems to have been a good show. I just don't like the anonymity and the disorganizedness at the moment. More on reddit.com

'Can't hold us down': 'No Kings' protests against Trump held across Arizona
June 15, 2025 - A single mother, Pitre said that she knew it was hard for people to come out and protest what she saw as rising fascism in the country. “It doesn’t matter what you have, even if it’s the bare minimum. You can still give back,” she said. Ahriana Rodgers, 24, said she saw Trump’s action as dividing the country and attempting to take away rights that the country was founded on. “What Trump is doing right now is not for the people.” · Arizonans also protested in nearby cities, including Scottsdale, Tempe, Chandler, Surprise, Payson and Mesa, among others.
