Before you preorder, ask your bank account if it feels it can actually afford $960 for the Pro plus an additional $100 for the add on Optical Drive plus taxes and environmental fees. If you bank accounts say you can then ask yourself if your TV can really process enough of a difference to make spending over $400 more than you have to. If all of those add up to a yes, then check out Best Buy, Gamestop or Amazon for pre order postings. and while I would normally add a /s for being sarcastic to a post like this, in the case of the PS5 Pro when it comes to Canadian pricing, I'm not being sarcastic.

I'll try bestbuy as they were great with me getting my ps5 at launch, I know thats where I'll try on the 26th. Lmao, at the people butthurt at how others choose to use their money. Don't want a ps5 pro or think the price is outrageous? That's understandable, but trying to convince others who are interested is pretty sad.

I bought a used PS5 Slim (1TB) a couple of months ago from Marketplace, and it’s been working perfectly—no loud noises or issues. Recently, I ordered the PS5 Pro with a disc drive for $1,100 from Costco. I know I can return the Costco order if needed, but I’m debating whether to keep the PS5 Slim or sell it. If I sell the Slim with a few games and controllers, I could get around $600, making it a $500 upgrade. I’m just not sure if the extra $500 is worth it. Any thoughts? Do you guys think the pro will hold its value for longer?

New PS5 slim is $479 and Disc version $550, brand new and no tax rn, so Idk how you can sell yours for $500-600.

I’ve had the pro for a week, and here are my two cents. I’ve had the PS5 since launch day. As soon as I got the Pro going, I noticed an immediate difference (keep in mind, they have to be pro optimized games). However, if you’re expecting a night and day, mind blowing difference, you’ll definitely be disappointed. I was pleased with what I got, however. Also, a big factor in my case, is that my girlfriend’s son wanted a PS5. So I got the Pro, and gave him my PS5. So it was a win-win in my case. It all comes down to what you really want. If you want it and can afford it, go for it. If you can’t, you’re really not missing out. The PS5 is great on its own.
