Has anyone tried and liked any competitor to the Purple Mattress that specifically has the same gel grid? I was wondering if Amazon had one. Bob’s has one called “Energy” and you can definitely feel that gel grid. I’m sure for those that like the Purple will say it’s worth it and that comfort is important but it simply is not in the budget. Looking for a gel grid specifically. Thanks!

I was really impressed with the purple 3. It offers this weird responsiveness and bounce that nothing else does. I found it very comfortable. It being, probably, the most unique mattress I worried I’d be more likely to end up not enjoying it. Also worried about the longevity of it at that price, which isn’t low. I ultimately decided against it though.

This is probably a long shot question but I got my purple bed probably a year or so ago, it came with one of the mini mattresses, I Absolutely adore playing with this as a fidget toy, I see I can buy more of those mini mattresses but is there anyway to buy a bigger piece of the material? If you see purple adds they use a bigger square of it for the demos, anyone know if this is available somewhere? I think it would be amazingly fun to play with. Or maybe I should just buy a cheap used bed someplace and cut it apart?

Hi! What do you think about purchasing a used Purple original king sized mattress for $100.00, ripping the purple grid out, and cutting it to fit a queen sized mattress for the purpose of using it as a topper? Would this work? This would go on top of a new Serta (medium) mattress that's too firm. Below are links two pictures of the mattress in question. Does the grid look ok or has it seen better days? Thank you for any help!
