As the header suggests, I am looking to find a new 13 Pro Max as an upgrade since not much has improved with the 15Pro Max. I am interested in finding it new through an authorized retailer yes for the sale but more importantly so it is still eligible for AppleCare just in case the battery deteriorates very quickly since it is "new" but has been sitting for a few years.
I understand not seeing it available online but does anyone have experience with stores still having them in stock?
Obviously, it's a great device so I am hoping someone can steer me into an upgrade!!

I’d say 13 Pro Max has at least 3 more years of iOS updates. As for stock, no authorized dealer would carry this device anymore after 15s release. Your absolute best bet is to find a refurbished model directly from Apple, which will indeed be eligible for AppleCare, on top of a 1 year warranty, and 3 years of extended support. Their refurbishment process is top notch, and you won’t notice the device being of used quality.

I need to buy a 13PM which is unblocked and can be used globally. Which is the more reliable store to buy it from. I have found some mixed reviews for Walmart as well as Amazon.

Neither. Get from Best Buy if you can find one. Sometimes you can get one through your phone carrier which is what I done and saved quite a bit buying my 13PM through my phone carrier. If something happens to it you can take it back in and get it fixed or a replacement. Walmart and Amazon and sites like that have always been a bit sketchy to me buying electronics like that. You may or may not get a good one
