April 13, 2022 - Before the start of last season, Adidas and the National Hockey League came up with a brilliant idea for alternate uniforms. The jersey program was simple: reverse retro uniforms. The idea was to allow each of the NHL’s 31 teams to come up with creative designs that featured a mix of current and past uniforms that sums up a large portion of a franchise’s history.

The team store only does heat pressing and I think it's only what they have off the shelf - so not the retro reverse. Plus the heat pressing is kinda shit and can fall off. https://www.exclusivepro.com/ is the only way to go. They are the official suppliers of the NHL and can do custom stitching for any jersey that's ever been in the NHL. It takes a while and costs a few bucks but it will last a lifetime and look amazing. The NHL did say it was something they weren’t going to do a third time anyway, and they do own all the designs for them, not Adidas, so if a team wants to go back to one of the designs, they are free to do so, it just wouldn’t be under the banner of the reverse retro program, kinda like how Calgary did this season with their new alternate.
