r/AskSF on Reddit: Question about navigating SFO terminals for food during layover
February 4, 2025 -

Hiii. I have an upcoming international flight that returns to the U.S. via SFO (international terminal I) and then the connecting flight to my home state departs from T3. I have a 4 hour layover at SFO, 6:55 pm- 10:55 pm.

Is this enough time for me to go through customs, collect my bag, recheck my bag, and travel to T1 for Amy’s Drive Thru (I’m vegan) before heading to T3 for my final flight home?

I’m not familiar with this airport and saw I may need to take an airport train between terminals? If you don’t think there’s enough time to stop in T1 for Amy’s, anyone have vegan recs for food in T3? Thanks!

r/AskSF on Reddit: Best place to eat at SFO?
July 27, 2022 -

Hey all, I’m looking for a decent meal for a reasonable price at the airport. Most of the stuff at the airport seems very over priced for what it actually is. Any suggestions?

I’m currently an employee at SFO, so it doesn’t matter where the restaurant is. Worst case scenario is that I have to take the Air train.

Odd Food Choices in Terminal 3 in SFO - FlyerTalk Forums
The large food court at the "junction" between UA terminals lacks one recognizable restaurant....where is the Chili's or TGIF or gasp...even a McDonald's? I would venture to guess that if they stuck a Wendy's or Quiznos in the middle of that food court, there would be a HUGE line since that would easily draw away the customers standing in line at the restaurant selling those little mini hot dog wraps (something I've only seen at SFO by-the-way)...I did find a small Burger King tucked away at the end of one UA terminal and if you don't mind venturing outside security, you will find a Subway tucked away UPSTAIRS Is is just me or does it seems like the planners at SFO don't want you to find the few recognizable eating establishments that do exist?
