December 24, 2021 - These Sharks are frustrating because they have so many failure points such as the brush rolls failing, the hoses ripping, and the switches melting and they never seem to be in a rush to fix any of them. They would be way better vacuum cleaners if they just revised the designs to fix the common failure points and maybe improved the cyclone and filter setups. ... Not really worth the time.

The brush does not want to spin. I have replaced the filters and the round orange and black thing in front. Usually when it does this it just needs cleaned out. I have ot cleaner than it ever has been and it still wont spin. Any suggestions?

That red light usually means a blockage or tangled brush. I had the same issue once and switched to the Shark PowerDetect Cordless Stick Vacuum afterward. The design’s easier to maintain and there aren’t as many parts to unclog. It’s quick to clean out and gets back to running without needing tools or a full teardown.

4 years old. I was running it and it turned off abruptly. There was a clog around the hardwood brush roll. Now the motor doesn't start with the power button and I can only get a fraction of the speed when I engage brushrolls.

Guessing something jammed the roller and messed up the belt and internal components of the head. You can buy a complete brushroll nozzle assembly for a repair. The Duoclean vacuums are particularly prone to issues with the nozzles so you might want to consider investing in a different option before spending money into this Shark.

It’s probably toast unfortunately. But I believe Shark has a 5 year warranty on uprights. I’m always one to reach out to them directly to get your moneys worth!
