My spouse bought me a set for my birthday a couple months ago. When I got back from my first run with them, spouse asked how I liked them. I actually paused and then said, "I totally forgot I had them on, but I can tell you everything I listened to as well." No, the sound quality isn't great, but these are not headphones for audiophiles. These were built to do one job and they do that job well. You can hear the world around you, whatever that world is, and still listen to something else in your ears. Besides running, I use them around the house while doing chores. We are that house on our street with the gigantic Halloween display. I loved that I could turn on a podcast while standing in the yard building a 12ft skeleton, but still hear all the traffic, or have a quick conversation with a neighbor.
