[update: it's back now]From Alberta here. It's really annoying. Any one know of another no fee bank that doesn't do both site and mobile banking shutdowns?

Scheduled maintenance is often a PITA but it's far better than unscheduled maintenance or even worse, security vulnerabilities that are left unfixed. Suck it up people.

Mine just started working again. But it’s annoying bc i was trying to access it since 2 am & they kept changing the end time of the “schedule maintenance”

January 29, 2018 - Should I move to Simplii, Neo or EQ? I cant believe how bad this bank has become. I’ve been with them since the ING direct days (orange key anyone?) and honestly i was the one telling everyone to switch. When Scotia bought them I thought it would go downhill but i stuck it out.

I've been a long term Simplii user and just had a frustrating experience with them. I used them to make my credit card bill payments on April 3, just like always at the start of the month. Today I checked my credit card app and the payments were still outstanding on all of them. I panic called Simplii to understand what happened as I was unable to see the bill-pay page which had a note to contact the bank.
So here's what happened, their system tagged one of the several bill-pay transactions as fraudulent, and stopped all of my bill-pay transactions. Thanks for doing that, appreciate it, but they forgot to notify me, by SMS, by email or by a letter to my home address that this happened and did nothing about it. Now I am a couple of days late on all of my credit-cards and Simplii can do nothing about that other than removing the block so I can make those payments again. This is Simplii Unacceptable! Go Figure!
Closing my account next week after my payroll deposits. Just a reminder to check your payments and make sure to get in on time.
PS: I've been a loyal Simplii customer for a very long time, I've consistently referred all my friends and peers to them. This however has left a very bad taste.
