Solid Wood Desk Decision
Where to get a solid wood desk
Looking for a solid desk to last me years
Solid wood desks are out of my budget, so what's the next best thing?
Are there desks available for commercial use?
Which desks are the best selling?
Is in-home installation worth it for my new desk?
So for a few weeks I've been scouring the internet for "affordable" and minimal solid wood desks. I started with Amazon, but quickly realized nearly everything is chipboard or MDF. I also realize I can just get a butcher block and add legs, but I'm not a carpenter by any means.
So I've narrowed down to two options. The first is this Litfad desk which comes in a variety of sizes (I'm liking the 70.9"L x 27.6"W, since my setup will likely involve 2 monitors and large bookshelf speakers). The only thing stopping me from going with this is the height. I'm 6'0", and even though the height to desk chart recommends 27", I currently have a flimsy folding desk at 28" and even that feels short, so I'm worried this 29.5" won't be enough. Because of this, I'm also considering a Flexispot desk, either the E5 or E7 in bamboo, and adjust that. But, that will hike up the price another $100 to $200, so I'd rather go with the first one if my worries are illogical.
I guess my question is: for anyone around the same height, are desks at these sizes comfortable? Thanks.
