The lid is awesome if you want to use it as a table when you're not using it. The stand is great if you're on grass and don't want to kill it or if you're on a wood deck. The spark shield is great if your wood tends to "pop"...I have multiple holes in my patio chair cushions from NOT using it. The cover is great if you are somewhere that gets rain or snow Even the pokers and skewers are super well built, I used to buy cheap ones but ended up replacing them sort of frequently, these things will hold up forever. For your purposes I would get the Bonfire. I have a Yukon but in a cooler climate. The Bonfire will work well for 3 people but will be tight for 6. The Yukon does use a lot of wood, can't speak for the Bonfire. Not long after purchasing you will want to start looking at accessories and if you go with solo stove brand accessories they charge a lot more for the Yukon size than the smaller version so it adds up quickly. Get the bonfire 2.0 and for a grill, find a used weber off of offerup. You can use the grill for the weber 19" which will fit on top of the solo stove flame ring however solo stoves get too hot for grilling. More on reddit.com

I totally understand because I kind of miss the gazing into the embers stage. What I do love about it- I have a bonfire is it burns so hot and completely that there is very little left over wood- it is all ash. It also goes through wood quickly. I have learned that one of the hard wood bundles from a grocery/hardware store lasts about 2 hours. For me that is a perfect amount of time and is good for a weeknight. More on reddit.com

I live in an area with frequent winds and a dry climate. For these reasons I bought the screen lid and also the solid metal lid. When we are done hanging out by the bonfire I make sure the screen is over the top when no one is around and I always put the solid metal lid on before I go to bed. It gives me peace of mind that I don’t have to worry about sparks or ash flying out and risking a fire. I also have the ring that goes underneath because I burn mine on a wooden deck outback. The ring works awesome by the way. The decking does not even get warm below. Highly recommend it if you plan on burning over anything you don’t want getting hot. A lot of people just use brick or stone and that seems to be fine too but the ring looks nicer and won’t scratch up my deck. I also have a few other accessories and even the stupid heat deflector that should be delivered in the next couple of days. Overall I find the accessories to be outrageously expensive but I don’t want to go to DIY route and the build quality of their stuff is great so I expect it to last for a very long time.
