Why is Spotify not working on my laptop?
Several factors can cause Spotify to malfunction. Troubleshooting steps include restarting the app, updating to the latest version, checking your internet connection, and clearing Spotify cache.
Are there unlimited skips on Spotify laptop?
Free users can skip multiple tracks in a session, especially in certain playlists like Spotify's curated "Made For You" playlists. However, they may still encounter ads between tracks, and skips are not entirely unlimited. Premium users, on the other hand, enjoy unlimited skips and completely ad-free listening.
How do I get Spotify in fullscreen mode on my laptop?
To enable fullscreen mode, open the Spotify desktop app and start playing a song. Then, click the fullscreen icon (a small square or double arrows) in the bottom-right corner of the application.
Hi guys, im kind of new to Spotify since I mostly use my music app or YouTube, but I've been using Spotify on pc a lot lately and I was wondering what was best, should I remain on web or should I install the app? Keep in mind I don't have premium nor plan to buy if anytime soon, I'm just curious if the app has any benefits that the web version doesn't

You can also have unlimited skips, no ads (with browser adblocker), and move to a specific time in the songs.
I'm having countless issues with spotify right now, and I can't for the life of me figure out if it's an issue on spotify's end or what. But I'm using the web player in chrome on a macbook. It's an old macbook with an old version of chrome on an old iOS, so I know spotify will just tell me that's the issue. However, on my brand new macbook with the latest iOS and latest version of chrome, I'm still having similar issues, but not the exact same issue.
On my old macbook; I keep getting the "Spotify can't play this right now" as if I'm not connected to the internet. BUT it will play the first 7-9 seconds of a song, and then stop. Then it will cycle through a bunch of songs as if it played them, but nothing. Then when it gets to an ad, it will play the ads. But it will not play any song past the first 9 seconds.
Also on that same macbook, I tried logging in with a different account wondering if it was just that specific account (it's logged in through facebook, not sure if that's important). But when I tried to log in using my google account, it's telling me that there is no connected account associated with that google account. However, my google account specifically says it's connected to spotify. So then I made a new account using an actual email address instead. That account still won't work. So I logged out. When I went to log back in to try again, it told me my username or password is wrong. So I had them reset the password. When I did that, I tried to change it to the same password I thought it was and it told me that was already used so I had to change it to something else. So I changed it, logged in, then logged out. Then I tried to log back in using the new password I just changed it to, and it said it was wrong.
On my new macbook with the lastest iOS and latest chrome, my facebook log in works. It will play music and everything. But occasionally a song will stop right at the end and not finish the song or go to the next song. I have to manually click play an another song for it to play again. I don't have any extensions or ad blockers or anything on my new macbook, so when it comes to an ad, oddly enough it doesn't play the ad. Instead it shows it's playing an ad, but the audio playing is actually the song that was next on the playlist. And while it's playing that 'ad' which is actually a song, it won't change the song, go to the next song, pause or anything. It has to play the entire song before it can do anything. Then it will just go to the next song.
So to me, it sounds like Spotify is having issues today. But I can't get any clear information from anyone. Any time I search for the "can't play right now" error message, it's always solutions for the app and/or on a windows computer. I've seen a few people say this has happened to them on a macbook before, but I can't find any solutions. So if anyone has an solution to any of these problems, please help!
EDIT: After chatting with two different agents for over an hour, I was finally told that that because I have a free account, that's why the web player doesn't work and that they "request" I use the app instead. I asked how that even makes sense and they said it was a "known issue" that they were working on and it would update automatically. I then let them know that the same free account works on a different device, and they said that it was a device issue and that because it was a device issue they were looking into seeing if they could fix it. So that's where we're at I guess.
