I am looking to purchase a Square register for my business and will need a cash drawer. I don't see the need for paper receipts and would prefer to skip it rather than deal with the hassle. In looking at Square's website it is actually cheaper for me to purchase the setup that includes the register, receipt printer, and cash drawer that requires receipts as opposed to just purchasing the register and USB cash drawer that plugs in and is activated by the register. Does anybody know if I can purchase a cash drawer not on square that can plug directly into the terminal? I've been searching but feel like it may not even exist. If I can't purchase one that is less than $300, does anybody know if I buy the set up that requires the receipts if I can program it to not use paper receipts? Hope this makes sense! Hello! Our business unfortunately just closed at the end of January. The owner (my father) retired, so I have a like-new fully-integrated Square Register POS system with cash drawer, usb receipt printer (tons of rolls of paper), scanner, scanner mount), and brand new credit marketing kits (let your customers know what payments you offer: including AfterPay and Cashapp).

I also have an almost new and hardly used Square Terminal. I'm not that familiar with navigating Reddit (though I've had an account for a while) and couldn't find if posting this would be against the community guidelines. If so, I sincerely apologize. Our owner just asked us to order a dozen iPads and cash drawers that are compatible with "squares" (assuming this means Square credit card readers).

Anyone ever deployed something like this? It's completely out of my hardware experience.
