You can print double-sided and then pay a few bucks at your local print shop to get it spiral bound like in my picture, or you could use a three-hole punch and a binder. For important stuff, my favorite is Hal Leonard Carta No. 24 -- I like the quality & the dimensions (10 staves, 14 x 11 inches). But it's relatively expensive & comes in small bundles. So for temporary stuff I use Hal Leonard's The Real Book Manuscript Paper, which is letter-sized, comes in huge quantities, and is decent quality but easy to tear out. Also the staves are separated by a decently wide margin so it's easy to write notes, roman numerals, etc. between them. More on reddit.com

Well there are certainly some components that are applicable to any type of problem-solving, most of the book is dedicated to intricacies specific to a case interview. If you can print PostScript files, you can use the PostScript from this webpage . Unaltered, it produces 10 staves in five pairs, suitable for piano music. That is quite widely spaced. That is a good spacing for music for beginners because it doesn't cram too much on a page. It might also suit complicated music music, where you need gaps between the staves for all the ledger lines (though you might want to adjust the gap between groups to make more space for ledger lines at the expense of squeezing the lines in each stave closer together). I've just tried editing "/groups_on_page 5 def", changing it to "/groups_on_page 7 def". That makes it look really crap because the 6 gaps between groups are eating too much space and the lines in the staves are too close together. So I've hacked a bit more, changing the stave gap and the group gap /stave_gap 5 mm def /group_gap 1 3 div inches def Also the line /top_margin 2.3 inches def sets a fat top margin, giving room for a title, a dedication, a date, and a tempo indication. You could cut that down to 1.3 inches or whatever you fancy. Err, that is more help than you wanted, because you're not too sure what layout to use. But I don't compose, so I don't know either.
