Because Staples customers are cheap fucks who expect a $200 laptop to last them 10 years and still be fast after all of the Facebook ad, toolbar, and email spam abuse they put it though. Think about it, how many times has a dipshit customer come into your store and asked you to show them "the cheapest laptop you have" That's why Apple won't let us sell Macs. at my store, at least, we O N L Y sell demo laptops when the demo goes clearance. there is no lowering the price (maybe 10-15$ if it's missing an accessory, has a little scratching from the removal of a security of the device), and that's it. all box stock MUST BE sold before we sell the demo. if the demo isn't in near perfect condition, we don't sell it. we aren't going to discount it more to sell it to you, at least at my store. 🤷‍♀️ we are just gonna send it back idk wth the employee is talking about, but i don't think you're describing it well either? sounds like a communication issue, idk. gl.
