Stephen King's House (2026) - All You Need to Know BEFORE You Go (with Reviews)
Former home of writer Stephen King. The house was built in 1854 and is a rare example of the Italianate villa style architecture. The home is now maintained by the Stephen and Tabitha king foundation and does lots of unheralded good deeds for the community. Like most private homes, you can’t go in unless invited.

Stephen King's Former House in Bangor | Atlas Obscura
1 week ago - Horror author Stephen King was born in Maine and has used the state as the setting for many of his stories. Despite his fame and wealth, he still lives in his home state, in a rather distinctive mansion just outside of downtown Bangor. The houses in his neighborhood are all large and expensive-looking, but they’re close to the street, which is wide and easily accessible, with a public sidewalk winding throughout.

I live down the road from Stephen King's house and he recently had a tree carved in his front yard.
What is amazing is that it was carved with a chainsaw. I read an article about it in the local paper. More on reddit.com

December 17, 2024 - I believe the King family supports their efforts. The tour was full of information about the author, some history of the city, and took us to local sites that were a part of his stories. They also educated us on the projects Tabitha and Stephen funded in Bangor. I believe the last stop was this house.

I was there on Thursday. It was the final stop on the SK Tour (which I recommend). Worth it? It was for me because I am a big fan and that's the kind of thing I enjoy; being able to take a pic and say: "Look! I'm in front of SK's house!"
