So I am thinking of investing in the Stihl cordless range but I am already on the Milwaukee/Metabo platform and my primary question is whether I should take the plunge and invest in Stihl over the current platforms I have?
I have been looking at a lawnmower and the concrete disc cutter but it does mean investing in the batteries also which I noticed are an expense in of itself and could go a long way towards a new power tool!
Whilst I could go Milwaukee or Metabo I've not heard of great reviews for the gardening tools of either and I have been looking at the Makita XGT for the disc cutter + batteries which I could get the 305mm version for the same price as the Stihl tools and batteries.
Should point out I am a novice DIYer and planning on landscaping my garden next year so I really want to invest in quality tools and machinery but I've just never owned a Stihl before so I don't know if it is worth spending the extra or simply sticking to my existing platforms.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Stihl seems the obvious choice, but their range has multiple batteries [AP, AK, AS] across different units which is slightly frustrating, and I was wondering if there are any other options people would recommend? Cheers
