T-pose - Wikipedia
2 days ago - Starting in 2016 and resurfacing in 2017, the T-pose has become a widespread Internet meme due to its bizarre and somewhat comedic appearance, especially in video game glitches where a character's animation is unexpectedly supplanted by a T-pose.
What is the meme called with a computer-generated model of some random character standing in a 'T' position?
It is called the "T-pose". Can't seem to find the actual knowyourmeme.com article about it. But for those out of the loop about what the joke is; the T-pose is the standard position used by modelers (the verbiage for 3d sculptors) in the 3d animation community. The stance allows the modeler to create a character without much, if any, distortion when it is animated. Example: You wouldn't want the shoulder to clip through the character's head by accident if they raise their hand to wave or to ask a question. The comedic side of it is when you see a 3d character in a movie, television program, or video game that enters that pose; not only does it look completely inorganic but shows the animator/programmer didn't do their job correctly; usually accused of laziness as if the "professional" animator didn't even bother to get the character out of the standard pose. It is heavily implied that they were given/downloaded a character from a modeler and just threw it into their project with a "close enough" attitude. When someone uses it in a meme such as linked above, it is a jab at the animator implying their animations are basic, lazy, and/or terrible. More on reddit.com

Firstly, that's hilarious. T posing isn't new, it's been around for years, I think it came from the videogame Fortnite. More on reddit.com
