Six years on a Tempur-pedic firm pro adapt all I can say is I wish I had those six years back because this thing is just awful. It took me like five months to get used to it. My wife really liked it so I stuck it out. we bought a new bed, but it’s taking a while to get to my house. I slept on the floor last night and I feel so much better. I can’t even tell you if you’re wondering if it’s your bed grab a sleeping bag and a nice pillow and sleep on the floor if you sleep better it’s probably your bed never doing the memory foam thing again More on reddit.com

The costco version is the lowest level of mattress the offer other than the cloud bed in a box. The costco version is missing the removable top cover. The apr foam and it looks like they use 1 in of comfort foam which is very low. My guess would be they are all going to be pretty firm. The majority of the mattress looks to be the core of the mattress which isnt memoryfoam at all. The lineup going lowest to highest. Cloud>supreme>adapt>pro adapt>pro breeze>luxe adapt>luxe breeze. Then they have 3 foams. HD material (firm), Adapt (medium), and Cloud (soft). Then they have hybrid versions. The proadapts have 1 set of coils the luxe adapt has 2 sets of coils. Now while these supreme mattresses costco have are a low tier does not make it a bad mattress or not a good one for you. But if you are comparing them to the proadapt then it’s not going to be close. I had one of the old school TPs. You know, the big block of foam with a brown cover from the infomercials with a lady jumping on the bed without spilling the wine? It wasn't the very first model, but it was from before TP's line exploded to what it is now. I paid about $2,500 or so for a queen, I think. I had it for at least 12-13 years. Much to my regret I did not use a waterproof mattress cover on top of the cover they provide, and I think that caused it to break down faster than it otherwise would have. And it was hot as a MoFo and impossible to move. But I also slept better than I ever had. I loved that bed, and I found it worth every penny that I paid for it, even though it didn't hold up for the 20 years I had heard. So I feel that one was worth its price. These days a TP is SO much more expensive. They have priced me out at this point. If you have it and you can spend it, it'll likely be a high quality mattress, but only you can know if it's worth the price for you. They are also a different kind of sleep, for sure. It'll depend on what you're coming from and if TP has a bed that's right for you. COVID makes this incredibly hard (if not impossible) but if you can find a showroom I would go and spend a solid half hour or more laying on the bed in the position you sleep in. Bottom line: If I could afford one I'd probably still be sleeping on a TP. More on reddit.com
