I am so glad that I decided to purchase this vacuum. I’m in love. If you’re on the market for a new hard floor vacuum/mop/steam-mop combo all in one… truly look no further. My favorite part is that this vacuum can even suck up an egg shell with 0 issues, and with 1 pass you’ve got a clean floor. I bought a Tineco wet/dry vacuum cleaner not so long ago and I really love it. However, I have some questions.

- Can you leave the leftover water in the clean water tank after each use or do you have to empty it each time?

- Do you clean the dirty water tank time and roller after each use ( even if it's small messes) or can you wait until the end of the day?

- Do you use it on carpet sometimes?

First Impressions

So, I’d pretty much hit my breaking point with my Yorkie, Sir Pees-a-Lot, who apparently thinks my hardwood floors are his personal toilet most of the time. Add in two other dogs shedding like it’s a full-time job, and start to see my frustrations. I needed help, and this thing promised to vacuum and mop? In one go? With no cords? I was skeptical but desperate, like when you buy kale hoping it’ll fix your life.

The brush roller looks like it could moonlight as a modern art sculpture, and the dual-tank setup (clean water in, dirty water out) gave me hope I wouldn’t just be smearing pee and fur into a gross soup. And it’s cordless, which is clutch for me because I’m the kind of person who always finds a way to trip over a cable.

First use, I’m zooming around my kitchen, and this thing is eating pet hair, crumbs, some mystery stickiness I don’t wanna ID. The edge-cleaning hype had me side-eyeing it, but damn if it didn’t hug my baseboards closer than my mom at Thanksgiving. Self-cleaning mode. press a button, and it flushes the roller and tubes. after a pee cleanup, I ran it, and the roller came out dry and odor-free. It’s like the machine’s saying, don’t worry, babe, I got this.

Cordless + 35-minute runtime. no cords tripping me up, and it lasts long enough to do my main floor unless I’m on max mode (then it’s more like 20 minutes). I hauled it upstairs to tackle a fur pile, and it didn’t quit. charge it overnight, and you’re golden for daily messes.

Digital display. the screen shows battery life, mode, and even a dirt-level ring that glows red when it’s working hard. It’s a little flexy, but I dig it. keeps me in the loop without guesswork. Imagine you’re cleaning and it’s like, yo, this spot’s filthy, and you feel weirdly validated.

Pros

• saves time. A pee and fur disaster that took 45 minutes with paper towels and rage is now 10 minutes, including the self-clean cycle.

• pet hair. three dogs means my floors are a fur apocalypse daily. The S5’s suction and pet hair strainer yank it all up, way more than my old vac. I dumped the tank and legit gasped at the hairball it caught.

Cons

• battery life. the beefier suction drains the battery faster. Fine for quick jobs, but if you’ve got a really big space, you might be charging mid-mission.

• tank. bigger clean tank’s dope, but the dirty one fills up quick, and the solution runs out faster too. I’m refilling more than I’d like. Not a dealbreaker, just a buzzkill.

• edge hype overblown. it’s better at edges than most, but still leaves a tiny debris line. I wanted perfection, not “pretty good.” Had to swipe a rag along the baseboards once—felt like a betrayal.

Final Thoughts

If you’re a pet owner drowning in fur and "accidents" (looking at you, Sir Pee's-a-Lot), this is a great thing to have. It’s also good for busy humans who’d rather not spend their lives mopping. But if you’ve got a mansion with endless floors battery life won’t cut it unless you’re cool with pit stops.

Worth it? yeah, I'd say so. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best wet-dry vac I’ve tried.

I'm trying to find something to deep clean my tile floors. I have a dupray steamer that works perfectly for the grout so that's not an issue. I've looked at the reviews. Some people say it's amazing, some say it breaks in 6 months or never works. Does anyone have one with tile? Or recommend anything else?

Good morning, I've got a Tineco S5 Combo. I really love it however I'm bummed about one thing. You have to use it in its combo format... Is there a way to add an attachment as a dry vacuum? Sometimes I want to pickup litter but it gets clumped up with the water, it gets messy real fast.

Any way to use it that way? Or any attachment that exists for it?

I just ordered a Tineco S5 combo for my tiny apartment. It's arriving today and I just saw all these posts on this subreddit disapproving of Tineco.

I badly want a budget/non-highend vaccum+mop to speed up my daily cleaning and this is the best I could find in Indian market for now at this price range.

It's scary to think it might breakdown after few months of use as this one is not exactly cheap. Can someone please suggest any maintenance tips so I can try and extend its life?

Edit : I just received it yesterday and cleaned a bit. When I put it back on charge it suspiciously stays at the same digit for a looooong time(15-20 min). I'm afraid it's not charging 😬. I've tried the put it on an off method mentioned in another post and it starts to charge(now taking ~2 min for each digit). Should I replace it or is this a common problem?

😭 it's brand new (also are they selling returned units from abroad. Sorry for the chaos I'm panicking, I've got this to save time, now I stand at the charging base putting this on and off for 30 min)
