I have broken my T-Mobile phone and my screen is dead. I'm trying to login to my tmobile account to pay my bill which was due yesterday so that I can get a new phone. In so doing, I'm given the option of receiving a code sent to my broken phone, no other method is being offered. Methods such as: Maybe let me use the password I used to set up the account? Or, use the 6 to 15 digit pin # they ask me for every time I call them? Or, maybe send this code it to my email? Or, maybe send their code to my wife's phone since it's also on the account?
Why only give me the single option when even the URL to that page ends with "choosemethod" yet gives no choice but the one that isn't a choice at all? How os it that in 2024 that a major corporation could overlook something so painfully simple so as to completely stop a customer from logging in so that they can order a NEW POHONE????? Does anyone know a way of logging in when their phone cannot show them the precious code?
*I know this is more than one quick question but most are rhetorical anyway. THANKS!
Edit: problem solved.
Edit: problem not solved. Still getting error messages...
Hey there. I'm new to t-mobile. I have a legacy sprint plan that got absorbed when the companies merged.
Did anyone else get a text message today saying that your credit card autopayment failed?
There's a $5/mo discount for autopay, so I'm keen on keeping this going.
I try to login to the t-mobile website, and they want me to update my password. Sure, I'll do that, whatever. Then they prompt me to do two factor authentication. Okay. Then it says to "link my phone number", which is odd because the account is for my phone number, it should be linked already. I punch in my phone number and it says that the number is already registered to an account, and that I can press the "login" button. I press the login button, and it restarts the loop!
I do this loop two times before realizing this website is totally f'd, and so I try the mobile app, and it does the same loop. This time also giving me a prompt that "they got their wires crossed".
Anyone have any clue how to get into your account?
