Tv Cabinet with doors
My first suggestion would be to look online on FB Marketplace and Gumtree, or second hand furniture shops (there are some interesting ones in Fish Hoek) but then you are looking at second hand goods and you may not find exactly what you're looking for in the style you want. It's a gamble but it'll be cheaper.
The alternative, which I can personally recommend, is George. George is a master woodworker who has helped me with my woodworking needs for years. He came highly recommended to me by my mom-in-law who used him for years too. George is not fast, he's a master woodworker, you are paying for his experience and expertise, but if you tell him you want cheap he'll make you the most beautiful furniture you've ever seen made from superwood (a composite). He's built me rooms (walls, doors, the works), he's built me custom book shelves, he's done my entire kitchen, he's built me the most beautiful kitchen table I've ever owned, completely custom to my needs and design, he has built my son a cubby like that too. He will, however, take as long as George takes, it can be two weeks, it can be two months but he will finish the job though and you don't have to pay the balance till it's done. It's got to the point where I no longer look for furniture, I'd rather save and get a George custom.
George is excellent and he will come to you anywhere in CPT. I'll happily share pics of his work along with his number if you want, just DM me.

I feel like we used to be able to find these all over the place when I was younger but I cannot find one anywhere. I would absolutely love something with a space for books too. But looking for any TV cabinet with doors so I can cover the TV when not using it. Any suggestions? I’d really rather buy than build.

Yeah these used to be common place when tv's were really ugly big boxes. Now they are pieces of furniture. Also these TV cabinets just became the go to place for horrible kaggelkakkies. The end result being a look only old tannies could love
