I'm about to move into a really tiny NYC apartment with enough room for one of these three options. My preference would be for a sleeper sofa, because I could sleep on the couch if I wanted, as well as have a larger sleeping area for having someone over or if I felt like taking the bed out each night (I'd get one with a memory foam mattress). I've looked at the bunk bed situations, I just don't like something cutting my vertical space like that. A twin mattress would be the best for sleeping, but harder to have anyone over, and it wouldn't make for a good couch during the day. If anyone has any advice or products they'd recommend, I'd love to hear it, thanks!

My roommate recently moved out and I decided to convert that room into a guest room/reading room. It’s a small space so I’m looking for a futon/folding sofa type thing to put in there. My requirements are that it be less than 80” wide and actually comfortable to sit on AND sleep on. Does such a product exist? Does anyone have a futon they actually like?
