General parking is typically in the Curious George/ET parking garage which is a maybe up to a 10 minute walk through Universal City Walk. Preferred parking depends on the time of day and how busy the park is.

April 11, 2024 - Universal Studios Hollywood parking is not cheap. General parking for the day is $30. Preferred parking is $50. And Front gate parking is $70 if you enter the parking garage before 5pm.

TIP: If you're only visiting CityWalk then consider General Parking or Preferred Parking. Front Gate Parking is closest to the entrance of Universal Studios Hollywood, but can often be further from most of CityWalk than Preferred Parking.

May 27, 2024 - yeah the prices are wild but there are a few ways to save some cash. if you're only going for the evening like to citywalk or something parking is way cheaper after 5pm it drops to like ten bucks for general. the best hack though is to buy a movie ticket at the amc there it makes your general parking only five dollars for the whole day. another option for anyone trying to save money on parking near universal studios hollywood is to check for a private driveway on prked.

March 1, 2024 - I dont think you can do 'in and outs' so if you were to enter in the morning for $32, then leave to get lunch off of the property, and then come back to park again, you would be charged again to reenter based on what time you return.

May 27, 2024 - yeah the prices are wild and they just keep creeping up. general is still about the same but i think preferred and front gate went up again recently. the best trick is definitely going after 5pm when it drops to ten bucks if you're just doing a citywalk night. also the hack to buy a movie ticket to get the validation for five dollar parking still works and is totally worth it. sometimes you can find a cheaper spot if you check for a private driveway to park at in universal city on prked. ...
