My friend is shipping me something and he dropped it off at a UPS store in NYC around noon on December 24th. The UPS store was open and he paid the shipping costs and all. The tracking number on the receipt does not work. Every him or I attempt to track the package it just says “UPS could not locate the shipment details for this tracking number. Details are only available for shipments made within the last 120 days. Please verify your information”.
I don’t know what is going on but we are starting to get a little worried about what is happening. Does anyone know what the issue could be or why it is doing this?

So I went to the local UPS store to drop off my Amazon returns on Black Friday (a big mistake.) According to the staff they are having intermittent issue with the Amazon return system. They scanned my return label, and fortunately, it went through. They gave me a receipt for tracking purposes. After a few days I noticed both of my returns did not show up in the Amazon app so I pulled up the physical receipts to get the tracking numbers. Unfortunately for me the label was crooked so I missed a significant portion of the tracking number.
Is there a way for me to get the complete tracking number, somehow? Is this something the staff at the UPS store can help me with? I have the date and time stamp on the receipt, are they able to look it up in their system?
We sent a item via UPS back to Amazon that got lost, and Amazon need us to provide proof it was sent (receipt with a tracking number).
We have the receipt, but the tracking number itself was sent to us by UPS in a email.
Not sure what to do about this?

For whatever reason, no tracking number on my receipt for a repair return to Canon in VA is working on my app or the website to track shipping. I’ve tried pretty much every number on this receipt. If anyone can help out, I’d appreciate it.
