Walmart is days behind on pick up orders
The kids bringing groceries out to cars at the one off 168th and maple have to work in overwhelming shit stench, I don’t blame them for not showing up. Also just fyi for anyone reading this and doing a Walmart pickup- the phone number on the signs that you can call to check in is not actually in service. So if the website isn’t working to let you check in and there’s no workers around then you’re screwed bc the people inside apparently can’t help you. More on reddit.com

There’s a couple different types of orders. There’s a pickup order that you drive to the store and pick up your order. These orders were picked by Walmart associates and brought to your car. Then there’s a delivery order. Depending on the type, it too is picked by Walmart associates and brought to a drivers car where the driver then brings it to your house. There’s another type of delivery order that you can choose and that’s when you need or want it sooner than available delivery windows. In this case your order is farmed out to what is called a spark driver. This person is given your order and they go into the store and personally get everything on your order and then deliver it to you. They essentially bypass everyone involved in getting your order ready so you can have it delivered when you want it. How do you know which is which? If you choose from available times to have your order delivered it’s most likely going to be filled by a Walmart associate and then brought to a drivers vehicle at the store. If you choose to have it delivered as soon as possible for an extra charge it’s most likely going to be fulfilled by a spark driver that goes in the store and fulfills your order then brings it to you. If I feel that I do not have time to make something, I tell people no and I cancel orders. We tell people 24 hours for instore and it's determined by how many orders we already have., and 48 is what the online ordering system requires. Take it or leave it. If I feel like I can do an order earlier than that, I will take their order. If not, then I don't. If they want more cakes done, hire more people! I will not stress myself out over this place. The web portal does not tell you this BTW. Corporate has an AI assistant so you cannot speak to anyone. Wasted an hour in store trying to find out where my order was. Never again. Manager Oscar said people won't show up to work. Then let your website say so. I have lived too long. They have 10 days to refund my money. Ridiculous since that money was for groceries.

We scheduled an order for pick up at 6:00 PM on Sunday and at 6:00 got a text that it was delayed and about half an hour later got another delayed text. So I went in and rescheduled to pick up for 4 o’clock to 5:00 PM on Monday. The status didn’t change on the order from delayed all day Monday. At 6:00 Monday, I live chatted with a CSM who could only tell me it was “in processing“. It was finally ready to pick up at 9 PM that night. When we got to the store, it looked like everyone else was notified at the same time, most of the stalls were full, and they only had 2-3 workers loading orders. We got our order and were 10 minutes down the road when the store called me and asked if I was going to pick up my order. I said I literally just picked it up and they were very confused. I was wondering if there wasn’t a massive computer issue at play if they weren’t able to fill an order or tell that one had been picked up, but that is just a guess. I have never had this much trouble with a pick up order ever.

I only do food delivery. I am not signed up for Shop & Pay or packages (anymore). The last few nights, I've been receiving far too many Walmart orders over and over again. Was there a special for customers on the app? Or are there not enough drivers signed up for Shop & Pay? Any feedback is appreciated.

I don't think Walmart falls under packages or shop and pay. But the reason you've been getting a lot is 1. Other drivers rejecting the offers 2. So the influx of Easter offers are making their way to you

Hello! I’m a Walmart+ member and do a grocery order once a week for delivery. I’d assumed it was like Instacart where the same person pulls the items and delivers it to your house. But while doing an order pick up a few days ago, I saw employees loading orders into cars.
Reason I’m asking…tipping. I’ve been tipping upwards of 20%, because I thought the driver also shopped the order. But if they’re literally pulling up, having a Walmart employee load the groceries into their car, and then driving 10 minutes to my house..I’m not sure I need to be giving them the average $20-30 tip for the 10 minute drive to my house.

This is the question I wanted answered. I also would always increase the tip after delivery for good products. Soft bread, big onions, fresh fruit. Expiration dates are distant. After reading comments from the spark drivers with their self-righteous bs and tears. So many tears. Followed by threats of "no one will do your order". I've started to zero out tip on the app. If it's delivered in a timely fashion I'll give them cash, maybe. But, If I do an express, I will leave tip on app, then increase if good shopping.
