I am curious what you think of Divhunt, if anyone tried it yet.

Basically builder is very similar to how Webflow does things, following web-development fundamentals (html, css, js), but it has many more things to improve experience, such as:

• Canvas similar to figma, where you can pin and edit multiple pages at once, move and zoom around.

• Custom CSS - Directly edit css of any selected element.

• Tag editing and no combo classes & - There are classes, but they work all indenepdenly, making more room for better organiztion and less room of errors with combo classes. And you can edit tag directly without applying random class to it if you dont need to repeat some specific styles accross project. Example: some random max width when working from Figma.

• Speed of platform in general. Just much faster than wf.

• Custom breakpoints

• Live preview - no need to publish in order to see changes (if logged in as admin) - great when working with custom js.

• Loop (repeater) - When working with cards, no need to duplicate card for example 8 times, just loop it and change content. - Much cleaner organiztion, especially in layers panel.

• Collaboration - You can't see live what other user is chaning without refresh, but still, better than no collaboration. If you are an agency, one developer can build one page, and other can build second, etc.

• Custom CSS & JS files - Theres custom code section where you can create js & css files and organize them through files, just like in VS Code.

• Native plugins (all free) - Theres a lot of plugins that gives you an easy way to create amazing things such as GSAP text animations, Swiper (very powerful sliders), Autoplay tabs, Countdown, Image hover effects, Table of content and much more...

• Interactions - They can do more than just animations, and UI/UX is much easier than Webflow, it looks like Adobe Premiere let's say - its timeline based.

• Components are better, but they harder to master, and a bit confusing without watching a tutorial.

Other than just a builder, CMS is much better. It offers everything that Webflow does, and more, and theres no random limits.

• Repeater field (if you ever worked with WordPress, you know how important is this)

• Unlimited gallery field (Webflow limit is 25 as i remember)?

• No nesting limit.

• Unlimited fields per collection & collections.

• You can create more than one single page for one collection, and all this pages can be managed from one CMS, for example:

  • /restaurants/my-restaurant

  • /restaurants/my-restaurant/locations

  • /restaurants/my-restaurant/menu

• Visibility condition is backend-based.

• Global collection - You can create one project which is "main project" and you can define which projects can access to CMS of main project. For example if you have Real Estate, and multiple websites, you can manage all from one CMS. - Its only in enterprise plan I believe, at least for now.

Theres much more things like native backend-based REST API integrations - easily pull data from any REST API like WordPress, Airtable, Sanity, etc. And theres native integration with Airtable & Strapi.

Localization is free up to 15 languages. - One bad thing, SEO metadata is not supported yet in localization, but I hope it will get there.

And yea, its much more affordable. Most websites will fit in $8/m plan.

Bad things:

• New platform, low community - since platform is relatively new, theres not much tutorials, other than a Divhunt youtube channel, and it is limited in templates. And if you get stuck with something you dont know how to solve, you need to depend on a discord channel where developers will help, but sometimes it might take time.

• No native Zapier or Make. You can connect forms with zapier & make using JavaScirpt, and theres tutorials on forum, but it would be much easier if there were no-code integrations.

• Undo/Redo is a bit buggy, don't depend on it.

• In some cases SPA could break your custom JS - Divhunt is not as Webflow, it has no-refresh between pages, which is in most cases amazing. But if you are writing custom JavaScript on your website, you might need to adapt it a bit.

• No automatic image optimizations - In webflow you can convert easily your images to avif or webp, here you need to do it manually somewhere else, and then upload it to Divhunt. And also, theres no automatic support for mobile images. But I am sure this will come soon.

• CMS difficulty - Already mentioned above, but when you first time open a platform, you will have no idea how to setup a CMS without actually watching a tutorial. With tutorial its easy, but such things should not require tutorial.

• Theres no any AI support yet - for example, you can't generate new text with AI, or generate sections, or translate website in other languages, you need to do it manually.

• Theres probably some more features Webflow has and Divhunt doesnt, and vise-verca, but I can't remember more right now.

If you have some free time to spare, try it out, and write your opinion.

Is there a free alternative to Webflow that doesn't require wordpress. I'm looking for something that is design focused and not very focused on the coding part.

Hey all. I know this is a common post (in fact, I just finished reading the comments section of one from only 16 days ago...) but everyone has a different use case and I wanted to get some opinions based on mine.

On the side, I develop marketing websites for a local company/friend's marketing company. I've developed maybe 12-15 of them for their clients over the last couple of years, and although I don't hate Squarespace like some of you do, I am getting pretty exhausted of the decisions they make. The dip in customer service, the new Circle gold status minimums, etc -- it's just not a positive trajectory and maybe this is my time to learn something new.

Some caveats I want to mention --

• My friend/their company loves SS because it's an all-in-one shop. They're not married to the idea of that, but they do like having a site, domain, analytics, email campaign, google workspace all in one place.

• My Circle membership has saved their clients a ton of money, but I wouldn't be migrating any old client sites -- just starting new ones on a new service.

• I hate Wix and Wordpress far more than I could ever hate Squarespace. I just mentioned them in the header so that folks in a similar boat could more easily search for this thread.

I have 2.5yoe as an FE professionally. I mention this to say that custom code doesn't scare me and learning curves don't scare me. I would love to write all of their websites off of a homemade NextJS/Django template but that isn't reasonable for what they need, so I'm leaning into tools like Framer and Webflow, but I'm interested in other options. What do you all think? What's your favorite in 2025? Thanks in advance.

I really love the way some of these Webflow websites turn out with their visuals and animations. Due to a few personal limitations, I can't no longer move forward with the Laravel React current website that I have for me.

Wordpress is not the only choice that I am willing to proceed with for. I was wanting to explore some more options. I really loved the features Webflow is offering. However, what is holding us back from deciding it as a best is the fact that they won't let us host the website out their platform.

• Previous Website: Laravel-React What I want?: To move out of Laravel-React

• To Where?: A reliable framework that allows heavy customizations like Webflow but doesn't limit to own hosting.

• How do I want to move?: By making a fresh learning hill climb and make from the scratch.

• What I am looking for here?: Suggestions on the names of the Frameworks except Wordpress. I began to grow a need for a really good CMS that will not only give me the advantage of the content management, as well as it will allow me to serve the websites on the 3rd party hosting servers.

Needs & Features that I am looking to get out of the framework:

• Convenient SEO

• News & Insights (Can be considered as blogs)

• Case Studies (Can also be considered as blogs)

• Contact Form

• Collect Emails for Newsletters

Therefore, dear community members, I understand many of you are not going to love this query of mine. But this very question has come to a very critical stage for us with our existence here.

Webflow isn't very good with web performance. It doesn't purge unused CSS or support code-splitting on deployments. After growing your website with more pages, you often end up with a large single CSS file that has to be loaded on every page.

Now that Google is starting to take into account performances (Core Web Vitals) for ranking pages on Google Search, marketing teams have a higher incentive to improve the performances of their website. Webflow unfortunately isn't very good at satisfying this need.

Is there any other product suited to marketing teams that has better performance capabilities than Webflow? A tool that, like Webflow, doesn't require the help of a developer every time the marketing team wants to change the website.

I’m a designer. Not a developer. And with all the things going on in my business, I can’t learn coding now. Often I simply need to design a straightforward website with CMS for my clients. Not WordPress. Not another template-based editor like Wix. A real visual website developing tool with all the freedom in CSS and HTML Webflow provides without the cost of an external developer.

Unfortunately I live in Germany. And it’s simply not possible to use Webflow without breaking data protection laws. I cannot have this with my clients. I’ve spent three years learning Webflow now and I’m extremely frustrated. So is there any other platform that works similar to Webflow I can migrate to that is safe to use in the EU?

Do you know of any opensource website builder systems that allow you to export your HTML css and js? Thanks in advance!

webflow is awesome and probally totally worth the money. But are there any completely free + no branding website builder that are any good?

I'm looking into building templates, I have basic understanding for HTML/CSS Javascript and some back end dev.

I tried WP, but they all look the same, are in PHP and I'll have to buy ones to customize. I tried Ghost CMS, had nice free starters that I could customize but was time consuming just for one blog to make simple changes like change landing page, colors, fonts, nav bar direction, language and some footer and social media styles. The CMS give good blogging ability, but theme customization with GUI is limited.

The only thing that I found as GUI theme/site builder that also provide ready code is webflow so far.

Td;LR I'm looking for an easy stack/software/SaaS to create and customize templates/themes for websites of different niches without having repeated look and good flexibility in customization . I'm also seeing AI sites creating things but have no experience or research yet.

I'm OK to pay once and then be able to have starters to build upon without having to inspect element by element and style individually or writing my own HTML/css just to add a nav bar.

Hi! I'm new to web design/dev and I started learning with Framer because it's simply the first thing I saw. I was wondering why you guys choose Webflow over Framer, Wix Studio, Wordpress etc. What makes Webflow stand out over other programs for you? And second and final question, would It be hard to learn Webflow coming from decent Framer knowledge? Thank you!

We have built our website on Webflow. Recently, we had to move from the Business plan to the Enterprise plan due to a slight overage in bandwidth and the number of pages. However, Webflow is not offering flexible pricing in the Enterprise plan. They provide around 6 TB of bandwidth, which significantly increases the cost. We typically need only 500 GB of bandwidth, so it feels like we are paying too much for unused capacity.

We are now looking for alternatives and want to address the following challenges:

1. Can you please suggest any alternatives to Webflow that provide flexibility in designing websites and are scalable with a pay-as-you-go model?

2. What would be the easiest way to move pages from Webflow to another service provider, considering some pages have CMS items and the exported code might not work well if we make tweaks?

3. When moving away from Webflow, we want to preserve our current SEO ranking.

Even if you don't have answers to the above questions, any insights would be helpful.
