Well, I finally launched my app today. As part of my journey, I realized that there wasn't a specific way for me to track my progress, so I decided to create one. After Apple telling me my first attempt wasn't good enough, I learned Swift (Apple's programming language) and redesigned the entire thing. As of this morning they have approved it. This is a free app; I'm not charging for anything I just want to provide a way for people to track their journey. My only ask, if you download the app and you could leave a great review for it, that would help me tremendously! If you have any suggestions please let me know!
Wegovy Weight Loss Tracker
How is everyone determining their daily target calories for weight loss. Looking at TDEE calculator, I was targeting 1300/day based on weight, height, age, and activity level. A nutritionist I meet with told me I need to up it to 1500, because my body and metabolism will get used to whatever caloric intake I choose for weight loss, so I will need to continue eating that number of calories for the rest of my life (or I will gain). 1500 is was she calculated for maintenance at my goal weight with current activity level. If I decrease the number of workouts, I will need to lower calories from 1500 to maintain goal weight.
Just to vent: I’m finding this really discouraging and stressful, knowing 1) I will need to slow down the weight loss to .5lbs a week and 2) I can never stop counting. I never had to count to stay in normal weight range before. I gained during my first pregnancy which ended in a 3rd trimester loss, only 2 years after losing my sister in a car accident, that all led to severe depression that has taken 7 years of treatment to start feeling like living again. I’m struggling to not now feel depressed that after everything, I’m now never going to function like a normal person again. Thanks for “listening”!
