Congrats to the recent grads.
Do you have diploma frame recommendations?
Thank you
They do look good together! Congrats with this milestone!!
Congratulations! Personally, I despise the newer WGU diplomas. I prefer the gothic style lettering like what is on your Bachelors degree. I was disappointed when the example diploma that came with my frame looked nicer than my actual diploma.
Hi everyone! just passed my last course and about to order some merch off the school store..
My commencement ceremony isn't until August (Boston), do you get a diploma with the diploma cover/ presidents letter when you walk on stage? thinking of buying one but not going to if we're gonna get one at the ceremony....
Also can you order diploma before ceremony?
If you've received your diploma, frame, etc. Can you share dimensions or pics (blank your name)
So I want to order a custom frame for my Diploma, and my goal is to finish by Christmas. I know custom frames can take months to complete especially if the maker has a large pile of orders. So I want to order one and hang it on my wall so that when i start to slack off or get distracted I can look up at it and get myself realigned.
I'm open for dimensions of the paper diploma, dimensions of the frame you bought/ordered, pics of all of the above. Lemme see what ya got!
Thanks!

Received my diploma frame annnnndd.... it's shattered!
Luckily the company was nice and is expediting a new frame ASAP.🥲
Delete if not allowed ~ I bought a new diploma frame to display all my degrees and I’m looking to sell my current one. Originally bought for $134 in 2020 - I’m willing to negotiate on the price. It’s WGU themed and the frame is cherry mahogany with a black mat and metallic silver accent lettering. Let me know if interested!
A perfect example of why I shouldn’t be in charge of myself. But I have no regrets. I adore it. 😌 On to the next adventure!

I noticed WGU is selling their diploma cover online. When you get your degree does it not come with the diploma cover??? That would be really messed up if they're just sending you the piece of paper.
Sorry to break it to you, but I think that’s common for any school? I can only speak for the state of CA—I went to a UC for my undergrad and they also sent a piece of paper. My friends who went to a state college nearby also just received a paper. If you wanted a cover, it’s an additional charge through the alumni store. When I finish WGU, I would expect the same.
I think the reason being is because most people who graduate at any school, they like to frame their diploma along with their graduate portrait. I would be doing the same than put the paper in a cover. You gotta show off your hard work in your home somehow!
You get a free diploma cover if you attend commencement. Otherwise you get a piece of paper.
This is fairly typical for most schools. You get a piece paper and you're responsible for getting a cover/getting it framed.
Anyone know the WGU diploma size?
Just a question, that keeps popping in my head. After working super hard for your degrees, and multiple certifications, where do you guys keep them. Anyone have a designated area where they are hanged or kept? Anyone of you framed them at all?
Thank you!
I don't understand WGU... it's 2024, and they chose a vendor that doesn't provide digital diplomas. they used to, as evidence by https://www.wgu.edu/alumni/e-diploma-verification.html but it looks like they changed vendors 2 years ago, and the new one doesn't. For a fully online school, only using a paper diploma which has to be mailed out is definitely behind the times, especially if you want to turn your degree into a plaque, which requires a PDF; and a color pdf from the vendor will always look better than one that is scanned from the paper degree.
90% of the posts on here are about accelerating and getting your degree as fast as possible. My advisor tells me to skip the material and just watch Cohorts half the time. This leads me to believe it's not even about the knowledge, just a nice piece of paper.
I'm trying to go slow and actually learn this stuff, but I feel like employers are going to catch on soon to WGUs reputation and not take it seriously.
People learn at different paces. Plenty of people take their time at WGU. Others take advantage of WGU's unique structure to accelerate and save some money. As with any education, you get what you want out of it.
This question is asked dozens of times, with the same reply every time: No, it's not a diploma mill.
Reputable employers recognize the degrees every where. The school is accredited. People have been saying that employers will "catch on" about this school for years.
People learn and retain knowledge differently from others. A lot of people on here have previous experience in the field that they are getting their degree in.
Your advisor is probably telling you the best way to tackle a class because they want you to succeed. If you feel that the learning pace is too intense for you, then tell them that you'd like to go at a slower pace.
My diploma came today, in a cardboard envelope. OK, I think, I'll hop on the website and can buy one. But I can't. I find nothing but links to a diploma frame website, which strangely does not also sell the padded folders.
Has anyone here procured one of these things?
