You want the lowest prices, it's probably not going to be on Amazon. Amazon isn't about lowest prices (although sometimes they do have some deals). Amazon was always about convenience. If you are waiting on some item that can be found elsewhere, look elsewhere for the best deal. And no, the "leave it in the cart and the price will drop" thing isn't real, just coincidence.

The lowest prices are usually not during Black Friday. Amazon has random dips throughout the year that beat the big sale banners. I added a screenshot from FoxFinds to show a real example. The lowest price happened long before Black Friday, and the “deal” during the sale was higher than the normal price. Online retailers play with prices a lot, and the lowest points rarely line up with the big events.
