Dinosaurs are breathless mentioned in the Bible if I remember correctly and they are called Behemoths. So why did God kill them? Was it to make room for humans and other life or did God just have them simply evolve into birds?

I would hesitate to say that an animal served no purpose simply because that animal went extinct. I don't think that logically follows.
God made a dynamic world. Populations come and go, climate shifts, and animals evolve over time. As a result, various species go extinct. I don't think there's anything special about the dinosaurs in this regard (other than them being really cool). Nor do I think that the animal species currently present today necessarily have more purpose than those that came before.
