I personally bought a Rode wireless pro (with 2 mics) - and it's great. You can both plug it into your phone or record onto the device. It's been great in outdoor and indoor environments. It has both a traditional alligator clip, and a magnetic clip for the receiver. The receiver has a built in mic, or the one I bought also cam with Lav mics. Overall, really happy with it. One of the best mics I've bought (I've had a few over the years), especially wireless. I got mine for under $350 - but so far well worth it. Just used it to record a podcast at an event, and it sounds great even before any clean-up. More on reddit.com
