r/woodworking on Reddit: Need advice for ‘lubricating’ wood
April 10, 2023 -

I have a beautiful old table that I want to restore fully. It extends with wooden runners that are old and often jam. I intend to take them all apart, glue broken parts, then reassemble then. But how do I lubricate the slides? Obviously WD-40 might not work. Should I use soap or paraffin wax or …. what? I am sure someone knows exactly how it should be done. Need advice.
