Why use memorable word-based phone numbers?
Word-based phone numbers (vanity numbers) are much easier to remember than random digits. For example, 1-800-FLOWERS is more memorable than 1-800-356-9377. Businesses use vanity numbers to increase brand recall and make it easier for customers to contact them.

Phoneword - Wikipedia
1 week ago - Phonewords are mnemonic phrases represented as alphanumeric equivalents of a telephone number. In many countries, the digits on the telephone keypad also have letters assigned. By replacing the digits of a telephone number with the corresponding letters, it is sometimes possible to form a whole or partial word, an acronym, abbreviation, or some other alphanumeric combination.

Howdy from Albania. I tried to google this but I wasn't sure how to phrase it and I have always been curious. A lot of the time in American movies and TVs you'll see ads with phone numbers like 1-800-CABLETV or 1-800-TRUCKS.
Are these real numbers or do they use them so they don't show numbers that could be real? How would you go about calling them?
