Awesome way to learn piano, integration with the Yamaha CSP clavinovas in particular gives so many options for learning to play. I love the pre-loaded method books, the Google Music integration to show me the chords to play along with my favorite songs, and I've already learned several songs by playing along with the follow lights! The app works with some other pianos and keyboards as well, but the CSP models are really the best to get the most out of it.

I have a friend who owns a nice Yamaha digital piano and is wanting to learn to play using the Yamaha Smart pianist app. The app contains a selection of advanced pieces that aren’t exactly ideal for a beginner. Today I recorded some simple pieces for her to try into the app. The way the software transcribed the very simple music was really strange and confusing, with most of the notes displayed on a single weird combination in the treble clef, looked like a total dog’s breakfast TBH.
Is there something I am missing about this app? A away to rearrange the notes as they are written so it isn’t so crazy? Is it possible to download additional files somewhere that are more suitable for an adult beginner?
I have very little experience with surgical pianos so this is all new to be

Hey guys,
Not very familiar with this community, but hoping y’all can help me out with a pretty specific question.
I just bought a Yamaha P125 keyboard. Love the voices, but the only con I’ve found so far is that it doesn’t have any synth options. Does anyone know of IoS apps I can download that allow me to hook my phone to the keyboard and play synth sounds from the app?
In case it’s relevant, the keyboard has a USB-B port in the back.

it's not clear to me if the P-125 is a class compliant MIDI device. I do not thinkk so. Because of this it's not clear if you can use it with other ios apps using midi over USB. https://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical_instruments/pianos/p_series/p-125/smart_pianist.html#product-tabs It seems to have its own usb driver for pc, and some kind of special app for ios. If its not class compliant it may not be able to send midi to apps on ios.
