What about hooking it up to the iPad and using the app with the accessibility features? Key Transposition: Page 17 of the p125 owners manual . Does anyone know how to transpose the yamaha p-125 piano??

Hi u/Hot_Necessary5139 , do you have a P-125 or a P-121? The P-125 is an 88 keyboard and so does not need to octave shift. The P121 is 73 keys and you octave shift by using [piano button] + F0 (down an octave) or [piano button] + G0 (up an octave. If you have split the keyboard, yes you can octave shift on the P-125 then it is [piano button] + Voice 1 A5 (down), A#5 (default), B5 (up) Voice 2 F5 (down), F#5 (default), G5 (up) user manual can be found here -> P-125 Manual More on reddit.com

Hi I'm new here. I got my yamaha P125 keyboard at the end of last year. I'm hoping you awesome people can help me. I'm totally blind and really want to know the layout of my unit. I can get it to do basic sounds etc, but can't work out how to transpose or anything else. Can someone please tell me the layout of the buttons and maybe point me to a quick reference sheet for which button combo does what? I know it's a big ask but I'm dying to stretch myself. I'm completely self-taught and generally just improvise. I know a few bits of pop songs but mainly use playing as an emotional outlet or distraction for my other issues.

Thank you in advance for any help.

I only have a p45 but at the end of the p125 manual there is a quick reference. The controls across the top are: on/off, volume, demo/song, metronome, rhythm, L, R, record, play/stop, piano, epiano, organ, clv/vib, strings, +bass. It looks like you must hold a function button(s) and then pick the specific operation by "playing" a specific note. For instance, to transpose hold the metronome and rhythm buttons then press from (-6) F#2 to (+6) F#3; C3 is 0 setting. There are many other functions which work in a similar fashion. I expect it is safe simply to experiment to learn various functions. However, the built in speaker can be turned off but metronome+rhythm and E6 will set it back to auto. Again, I don't own this instrument so take this for what its worth.
