3 Pin To USB? | Tom's Hardware Forum
USB cable to 3 prong
Is there a way to make a 3 pin 5v connector go to a usb?
Do USB to three-prong charging adapters exist?

Idk if this is stupid, and I literally can't find any other posts with an answer to this, but does anyone know if it would be possible to convert a standard usb cable to a 3 prong cable. It's currently powering 5v leds and it needs a power brick but I'm too lazy to find one that isn't usbc anymore so I'd rather dismember a cable or two.
My car only has a USB port, but I'd like to bring and charge my laptop on a road trip.
I got a new pc case and am currently working in getting everything set up. While doing so I realised that the integrated fan control uses a 3 pin rgb connector, which I don't have on my mainboard. I have another fan rgb control laying around that uses usb instead, so when ordering the new case I wasn't really aware not all fan controls just connect using usb (I honestly don't really know all that much about PCs and this is the first time I even dared to do something with it myself). Thing is, the old control doesn't have enough slots. Is there an adapter or something that allows me to go from the 3 pin to usb so I can use the new control? Or do I need to get another that connects using usb if I wanna use more rgb fans than the old control allows? Sorry of this is a stupid question or has been asked a thousand times, I tried the search but didn't really find the exact same issue I had while looking through, if I overlooked that, I apologise
I’ve searched all over the internet and found one on amazon, however when it arrived it was 3 pin but was only wired to 2 and had an empty hole on the third pin, this turned out to be an issue with multiple peoples orders so please check before suggesting that one! I can’t wire anything myself because i have no idea how any of this stuff works. if i need to have someone custom make it i am okay with that, i simply just need to be directed to where to find how to buy it or how to buy a custom one. thanks for any info
