We want to do a quick bathroom refurb. New LVP floor, paint and a vanity top. The base is oak cabinet but the top is linoleum white. Like to just rip the top off and drop in a modern one in cultured marble or some other stone like material with a single sink built in.

Issue is dry wall edge to drywall edge is 59" and everything in the world seems to be 60". Sheetrock is 3/4" so i could get a 60" frame stud to stud with the sheet rock removed for the height of the vanity top but that feels wrong and is a lot of work as I'll have to slice a slot all the way in to tilt or push it into position.

Any ideas how to do this. I can find some prefab 59" cabinet but rarely with a sink built in and never a single sink. The 59" world also seems to be asking for custom counter tops. I'd like to do the total project for under $1000 so this is likely out of budget

You can check a Habitat for Humanity ReStore as sometimes they have odd lengths of counters. You could buy a 60" and trim off an inch? If you're looking to refresh the vanity base without ripping it out, my sister in law painted the oak base of her vanity to change things up. They didn't want to do a whole reno yet so this was a cheap update. The paint was Benjamin Moore and made for projects like this. At one time it was melamine paint but believe they stopped making that and now this is the replacement for that type of paint. Made the vanity look brand new. I would post a pic but don't see how to do that on here. :(
